Any one given any thought to putting a wood floor like they do on some older trucks. I know you can buy the strips that go between the boards. Whole kits.

Would you cut most of the floor out? Or put it on top of the floor. Bel liners can make for a rusty floor years later down the road. Duraliner the bed floor then do the wood over it? If I had a bed with a bad floor I think I would try to do this.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

For a nice driver or a show truck I think it would look really cool. Its not cheap and you would have to do a lot of fabrication.

Cutting the floor out would be a huge job. Working with my trailer project I found every rib of the bed floor is welded to the cross beams. Not that it couldn't be done, there would be a ton of cutting and grinding. Laying the wood on top would be much easer. If you seal it good and maybe add a tonneau cover it should last a while.
