 Post subject: Centering rear axle

So i have a 1980 luv and the leaf springs,shocks have been taken off. Im going to bag it but how can i make sure the rear end is perfectly centered between the frame before cutting out notch for frame and welding links in place?

Level the frame. Then drop a plumb Bob from each shock mount. Use those two points to center the axle laterally and fore -aft .
