My leaf springs are ruined and CANNOT be measured. Does anyone know the measurements for the leaf springs on a 2wd 74 Luv?

I have my original 72 stock springs stashed away. I will get them out and measure them. What exactly do you need, overall length, eyelet to eyelet ect?

From the parts book, 78-80 2wd are the same part number. 94027504. 76 part number is 94026218, 75 is 94025087, no part numbers shown for 72-74. The book does not show measurements but put up part numbers in hopes it helps.

Luvtruck.com lifer...

Here is a link to what Calvert tells me that I need. http://www.calvertracing.com/documents/CalTracsDimension-truck.pdf

Can you help me?

There is no one locally that even has a used Luv that I can go measure.

Thanks,

Here is what I came up with. On the original Calvert form their diagram shows the axle under the spring. On a Luv the axle is over so I measured over the leaf. My measurements were from 1972 springs. I do know that the 76 springs I have on now use different size bushings and bolts than the earlier trucks.

HotRod80 said that Calvert has the measurements. I would hope they can confirm what I measured just to be safe.

There are differences between the years for sure , but the Split monos can be made to work . The later models have the larger pin with the nut on the back similar to a Nissan hard body . I filed in the hole with metal cut with a hole saw and welded it into the front mount to used a standard bolt . I also narrowed the fronts of a set of Calvert springs to 2.25" and had custom bushings made to use the factory pins . I repeat the best way to do the swap is to buy the Afco front perches , mark the factory front pin location and cut and weld the Afcos in place of the factory ones and you are done . If you cant do this find a reputable race car chassis shop to do it . Or square everything with a long piece of all thread with nuts and washers . Make sure your spring rate is good for your use . I think they offer 200 and 225 . Use 225 if you ever plan to use it as a truck .
