After a few months my rewiring is complete. It was actualy pretty easy. I would suggest it to anyone trying to shave some weight off their truck even though I did it just to straighten out some previous hack job. If anyone of you has ever looked at the factory wiring of the lights youll understand how it can be done much better. You can eliminate alot of wires. The Painless fuse panel is laid out great and the directions are easy even for a redneck like me.

Does painless make a specific harness for the truck or not? Which one did you use?

Somebody obviously hasnt had an entire wire harness out of a car before. You would be surprised at how muck it weighs. Sure your not going to lose 100lbs, but Im sure it was more than.01. No c toy, they dont make a luv harness, only the more common cars like camaros and mustangs.

Ok, im gonna get this straightened out....

ChevyToyR:

Yes i know the LUV is an Izusu built truck, but it wears a Chevy badge and thats all it needs to convince me of some domestic properties. It slips my mind that it is an Izusu sometimes...

BigHappy:

Sorry if i insulted you in anyway, thats not what i intended to do, i don't plan on insulting anybody on this site, and im truly sorry if i did!

For the record, yes i have removed and replaced wiring harnesses, I helped a friend rewire his 72' Camero, also rewired my John Deere combine one winter when it shorted every electrical component out on the whole damn machine (biggest headache ever), and i also removed all of my LUV trucks existing wiring and replaced it with a much simplier system to run with the SBC. When I removed my wiring from my LUV truck i found there to be nil amount of wiring, and i thought replacing it with a different set of wires of existing size and type wouldn't save much weight...hence the ".001 pounds" (exaggeration at its best)

And sorry about the import remark. They're not this cats flavour. But hey, i know what i like and you know what you like.... and I'm gonna just leave it at that.
