I think they were a factory option. They come up for sale from time to time

Do you know how it mounts? Bumper, core support, fenders or all the above?

not sure my truck has the 4x4 skid plate so not really any room down there for more mounts
I could see if being mounted off the bumper/plate mounting point and the spots the little valance under the grill mounts up. again just guessing

It is not factory. In the day the dealers had a ton of options from local shops they would install on these trucks.

Not to our generation. I can remember several shops that had Snug Tops in stock, tube grills in stock, flex windows in stock, you get the idea.

I can't remember the name of the mini truck store I used to go to, but I spent every extra dime there on paydays. The Orange swap meet used to have a ton of stuff too like fender flares, spoilers and seats. Mini trucks were huge and so were custom vans. 8)

My 74 Mazda REPU in 1978. After I totaled it I bought a stepside Luv in 1980

I'm looking for the same thing... Just got out of a 100 + acre old car grave yard that had 7 old luv trucks and none had a good valance on it.. = 0 (
This is really kicking my a$$ trying to find a valance.

I happen to have the valance you have been looking for. It looks just like the one pictured on the green luv. It is a aftermarket fiberglass piece that came of a 79 luv truck. There are also 2 front fender flares that attach to the valance to complete the stance. All 3 pieces will require some body work though. There a few small chunks missing from fender flares, but overall they are in good condition. Like you I looked high and low to find this valance. I'm at a cross roads with what I'm going to do with it and I know if I decide to sell I may not ever find another. Really don't want to sell these 3 pieces, but if I like your offer they could be yours. Let me know if interested and hopefully we can make a deal. I will post pics of them tonight after I get home from work.
Mike.

I also have the cab visor that matches the valance and flares. It is for sale as well.

I bought the front spoiler from Chevy when I bought the truck. Mine looks a little longer than the one in your photo.

I think it looks longer cause you have a thin bumper
