So I got new rotors brakes and shocks the rotors and shocks went smooth but when I get the brake pads in the caliper they won't fit around the rotors. It's compressed all the way and the side with the piston is fine but the outer brake needs to be pushed in farther it's a 78 chevy luv any help would be much appreciated!

The rotors you bought, are they vented or solid? How much thicker is the new rotors then the old ones?

New rotors and pads make for a tight fit. Make sure the caliper pistons are even with the caliper.

Are you sure the rotors are on correctly? Post a pic and we can help. Just so we understand, is the caliper mounting bracket on and now the caliper won't fit? Here is a pic of a caliper and bracket installed.

I got it figured out they're were pins on the caliper that had to be removed so the caliper would open up!
