I want to upgrade to front discs. I have seen many threads on this but none that list specific parts (what parts from what year). Does anyone have a list like this? Thanks for your help

pretty sure you need the later model luv 76+ with stock disc brakes, take the hubs rotors and calipers and that is pretty much it should swap right on
i know there are plenty of people who did the swap if you search you will find plenty of info on the conversion

So seems like i need a donor truck? not an easy task since I live on an island in the middle of the pacific. I know I know it sucks living in Hawaii boo hoo... does any one have the parts they would sell me? Looks like the parts unavailable through Rock Auto are the backing plates and caliper brackets ( I assume they are seprate from the spindles). i think i can buy all the other parts. Also has any one resolved the brake line issue? The article says something about a custom brake line. thanks guys

Lots of junkyards on the mainland are willing to snap photos and pull parts. I've had an exhaust manifold, carb, and intake from 2 separate trucks pulled and photographed for me from 3 states away. All handled via email after a quick phonecall. Shipping wasn't too bad either.

Try Klamath Auto Wreckers in Klamath Falls, OR. Also Penrose Auto Salvage in Penrose, CO. They have some later-series LUV's, and guys willing to go dig out what you need.

I have a 78 luv and am switching to the Aerospace kit in the next couple weeks. I have the kit already, just need to do the swap. I'll sell you my stock parts. Pm me and we can figure it out.
