If you are repainting, why not just sand them off?
The best thing ever to remove stickers from paint is one of these rubber wheels on a slow speed drill

If you were looking to keep your paint, try Naphtha (aka zippo lighter fluid). Almost better than Goo-Gone.

Um you can keep your paint. Worked in an auto body shop and we didnt use "Naphtha". We use those eraser wheel all the time. So if you wanta use ligher fluild and srub forever be my guest. 8) :smt023

Yea, not sure what you meant about keeping the paint but that is what the eraser wheels does and removes the stripes way quicker than any chemical and he already stated it worked great for him. :econfused

What I mean is if there is a gooey sticker residue, Naphtha lifts it right off. pour a little on, wait 5-6 seconds. Wipe it off. Try it next time you have a stubborn gooey sticker mess. Not just an automotive related tip.

I realize he is done already, but this is what worked for me to get the decal goo off my USPS Ford Windstar.
I went to my sticker/graphics guy, and he gave me some Orange Peal solvent. Wiped it on, let it sit a minute or so, and scraped the goo off with a bondo/sticker/window tint plastic application squeegee.
