Hello, I have a 1973 , very clean body , all custom professional paint job , 350 sbc.. My frame is pretty well rusted out , drive side rail is pretty gone. I dont drive it any more , because of the frame the way it is.. What years i can use to use a another chevy luv truck. looks like 1972 to ?? , I want this swap to be the easy as it can be ,with out to many problems. Any body , has been in my shoes ?? Please let me know... Thanks !!

72-80 has same basic set up. The frame mounts for the motor are slightly different, but you aren't using those anyway so any of those should be good as long as you get a short wheel base donor frame...

The front bumper brackets are differant on the early style bumper.

As mentioned nice truck. 72-80 swb frame will work . aslo dont throw anything away until the swap is completely finished . Welcome to the forum .
