With the frame on jack stands, remove the t bars. jack up the lower a arm as far as it will go, and reinsert the t bar. You set the truck back down, and then crank the t bars to your desired height. This will set the truck lower than stock, with the "stock height" amount of torsion on the bars. This way it will ride close to original, but be lowered. You may want to remove or cut in half the rubber bumpers on the a arms for a bit more suspension travel.
Same goes for lifting a truck, except you lower the a arm, and reinsert the t bar.
