Post subject: TAIL GATE LATCH HANDLES
PostPosted: Tue Sep 30, 2003 2:14 am
my 80 LUV is missing the tailgate handles...
anyone know where to buy them?
Also, If you buy a new tailgate, does it come with new latch handles?

odds are you won't be able to find a new tailgate, you will have to go aftermarket. the aftermarket ones do not come with latches.
some people have adapted seatbelt latches for the tailgate. I think that is pretty cool.
hope this helps.

I have a set still in good condition just setting around here collecting dust. If ya want them , i well send them to you...you just pay for shipping. They are off an 80 if that makes any difference. jazzer24 where are you located? ..And no , new tailgates do not come with gate latches.

There was a post a while back about using seat belt parts.
It seemed like a pretty cool idea.

I have a good bench seat I'll be getting rid of soon. Putting in bucket seats. You pay shipping its yours. But that could be pricey. I also have a step bumper I need to get rid of if anyone is interestd. Once again you pay shipping its yours. Just need to get rid of them. The bumper is just claddering my garage and the seat will soon be doing the same.

Where are you located Jazzer? I have a bench seat out of a blazer that fits nicely. Mounts need to be fabricated to bolt it to the floor. It is in great shape. I would give the damn thing to you if you were close enough to edmond oklahoma.
