how much front end needs to be swapped out. i'm looking at 2 luvs right now to buy. one is a 4x4 but in much better condition than the other which is a 2x4. both around the same price. i want a 2x4 and plan to put a 3.8 in it so i'm not worried about saving running gear. how hard are front end parts to find?

can't believe i sold my first luv. now i just want it back!!!

i would think you could remove the front diff and axles and seal the back of the hubs as a simple removal if the engine/tranny are gonna go anyway

well never mind that. the 4x4 sold :(

i'm sure it's for the best though. i didn't need the extra work. i've already got big plans. :twisted: :ebiggrin

yepp i thought about going fro 4x4 to 4x2 but then i would be screwed in snow or mud which washington is full of!

the 2wd will be a lot cleaner of a conversion

i remember some one put a C223 diesel in a trooper that was the N\A model :cry:

changed to a 2WD trans and pulled the axil.
about 150+\-LBs lighter, but it was still a slug.....
