Question for you guys. Im going to get an s10 rear end for my luv, long term project that I have. I want to shorten the s10- rear end so that I can get a deeper rim look (Like deep 19x12's) on the rear end. I know there are custom modifications that have to be done to the bed and frame, but im not worried about that. Im not looking into upgrading into a V8. Im going to keep the 4 banger and just do modifications on that, therefore I dont need anything stronger than the s10 rear end. Im in the Ontario California area. What shop can I go to around here that would shorten the rear end? thanks for your help.

One of the main problems with narrowing a S10 7.5 rear axle is the axles are retainen by C-clips in the carrier . To narrow one you will need c -clip eliminaters or need to contact someone like moser and see what the cost of machining a factory axle is . You will end up spending close if not more than doing a 9 inch Ford imo .
