There are none with the correct taper for the S10 Spindle.

Thus the reason i went with a machined plate.

HOWEVER. I do carry the correct taper chrysler bit if you would like to re-ream your spindles. I belive the K-72 from moog is what your thinking for the chrysler screw in.

You can buy either a 7 degree taper reamer or a 10, they look the same be SURE to get the correct taper reamer! And you need the 7 degree one, I believe...

That would be the K772, which is a Moog number but almost any aftermarket parts store sells a version of these balljoints. www.speedwaymotors.com sells the balljoints, the threaded sleeves and the reamers. The speedway version of that balljoint is the best one to get because it uses a floating boot.

i would buy the reamer man, there like 40 bucks at best.

the reason I say this, is the depth of the ream can be a feel feel kind of deal.

i tried to ream using the factory specs but the ball wouldnt fit properly.

so ream a little, then real alittle more until the taper seats just right and cover 2/3s of the joint shank.

might be a wise idea to practise on a old set of S10 spindles before going for the full monty.

but 100% for Speedway motors.
There actually my supplier for most of my kit parts. just wish they offered production machining too!

The K772 does not fit the S-10 spindle. It also does not fit the Toyota spindle.

If your doing all that why not just go with a uniball. a 3/4" uniball with misalignment spacers for a 1/2" bolt will work great on an S-10 spindle.

By the way the S-10 spindle has the same offsets as a Luv spindle. By that I mean that the distance from the face of the spindle back to the upper balljoint hole and the lower balljoint hole is the same in relation to each other on both spindles. Both spindles have 1" of difference from the upper to the lower holes. This means that you can theoretically swap in S-10 spindles and not have camber problems. The thing you do have to do is swap the balljoints out.

but if you ream the taper on the spindles they will fit? if not mistaken a 7 degree re-reamer will allow them to fit....but what is this uniball you speak of like a heim joint?

yes the reamer will allow them to fit. Just go slow and keep checking.

A uniball is a spherical type ball joint. They come with an outer cup and misalignment spacers. do a google serach for this part number..

wssx16t or look on powerperformance.com and click on uniballs

so they are basically heim joints with no shank on them..i was thinking bout using heim joints where they connect tothe spindle and run solid bushings at the other end of the arm but wasnt sure bout keeping them in the right place and having all the camber/toe/caster right. cause dont you need a tapered insert to hold it all together? the heim (uniball) in the spindle hole.

yes, try summit racing for a much better price on them. They sell the balls, the cups and the spacers.

Ive done the research because Im about to start offering them on all my control arms as an option.

There are basically 4 sizes that will work for trucks. The sizes are the hole in the center of the ball. they come in 1.5", 1", 3/4" and 5/8"

Understand they come in several other sizes but those are the most popular. You will have to use the misalignment spacers and they have to fit in the hole. so a 3/4" uniball with a spacer has a 1/2" bolt hole.

it fits thru the smallest part of the tapered hole and the other end has a grooved adapter that sits in the large part of the hole.
