My 1980 Luv is a California emmisions model (hose monster) so I'm eliminating as much of the smog junk as possible to clean it up under the hood and elsewhere. There are 3 lines that run to the fuel tank from the engine bay and several from the tank itself. I imagine that most are vapor recovery and other vent type hoses.

My question:

Which lines can I remove/plug, and which lines need to remain for normal (non smog device) opperation?

Thanks!

I just started my plans for putting a flatbed on my '81 LUV and am figuring out what to do with the lines under the cover in the bed of the truck. I can post what I come up with if you want. Anyone who has already done this....please jump in.

I desmogged everything under the hood of my '79 as far as pollution pump and rail. That's not to hard. I just removed everything and plugged the holes.

Does your motor sound funny now that you plugged your cylinders? I also plugged my cylinders and now it sounds just like a weedeater lol. Anything I can do to fix it?
