Hi, The only thread I could find on removing a core support was simply about the tools used to get the job done. My question, besides being spot-welded to the inner fenders, how is the core support held in? Are there bolts mounting it to the frame or is it made as part of the frame? I know it's a stupid question, but thanks anyhow.

yes there is two bolts one on each side of the radiator . look right above the frame rails youll see them to take them off you need a 14 socket , look under the frame on the front and youll see two bolts and two rubber body mounts , loosin them and your free. id go to your local tool store and get a spot weld drill bit [ about 18.00 dollars ] makes for a cleaner job .
