Whats the deal? I haven't been here in a while and after some browsing I didn't see any posts with updates on the new dashboards that were supposed to be out by now. Anyone know whats going on with it? I mean really know whats going on... like those of you who ordered?

The last information I received from Dashrestoration was that Ben received delivery of a production dash and is evaluating the product for them. Hopefully some good news will be coming soon. :D

I have the test model and I am working on installing the dash for a trial fit.

I have a picture of the unit I will post here of it uninstalled.

The quality is top notch, better than the original units from the dealer. The construction is much sturdier.

I can't evaluate the fit until I remove my old dash, gages, and radio from my truck.

I'm sorry for the delay. I don't seem to have much free time lately. I also wanted to do a full evaluation before releasing any information, but since it's taking me so long to do the install I figured I should say something now.

Hey Ben,

With just those initial evaluation comments makes me excited. It looks promising that I won't be looking at a San Andreas dash anymore. Keep up the good work and keep us abrest of your progress. :lol:

Just got note form Jim, Dashrestoration. He said if all goes well and Ben gives it a thumbs up they can probably start shipping in 30 days or sometime in April. But get this you can order any color dash you want. You only have to send them a sample of the color. The truck would look great if the dasn matches the interior color.

I LUV bubble wrap.... Oh yeah, the dash is nice too... LOL... Back to reality, I ask the same question pretty much, any idea on when there where be a rough estimate for the price on the unit. I have a piece of carpet for a dash as both of my parts trucks didnt have dashes. Though I dont know if I can afford something that nice, the carpet almost broke the bank on me....

Dashboard Restorations
 Post subject: Reproduction Dash Price

We anticipate the price to be around $390 plus UPS delivery from WA. This is a price for LUVTruck members exclusively as the retail will be higher.

Once Ben signs off on the test-fit we will be stocking standard black units in WA in approx 45 days. Colored units will be available at no extra charge, but delivery will be slightly longer for these.

2 things here, first, looks like the wait for the dashes should be worth it. Fortunatly my dash was replaced in 94 and dont need one of those but would probably be ordering one if my dash was bad.
