im looking for new oem weatherstriping or a kit that you might know of? and also front windsheild gasket. all the help would be nice

You can find the door weatherstripping here. The weatherstripping is good stuff. I have bought it from them and so have many others here on the site. Just do a search of the forum and you will find many a discussion on it.

Not sure about windshield gaskets.

Most any glass shop should be able to get the windshield gasket. I had the windshield replaced in my '79 4x4 for about $160 w/new gasket. I think the only style they had was the solid black, so it's not an exact match for the factory style with the chrome insert. If you are looking for 100% restoration type, you may have to search a bit. Here's a local Oregon shop that does custom glass, not sure if they would have the gaskets, but I bet he could tell you who does...

I also believe there were problems finding the back glass inserts? I think someone here on the message board was working on trying to get those manufactured, but I haven't heard anything on that subject lately. I am sure I will be in need of the back glass gaskets myself in the future. But I don't see why they would be hard to find since they must be pretty much the same as the windshield gasket excepts a little different shaped?

hi. just in case you are still in need of weatherstrips i can recommend these from fairchild industries. they have good reviewas and come very highly recommended.
