Everyone tells me to put MSD in my truck - anybody got it in theirs? Is it really worth the money? I'm looking at getting the whole smear - box, distributor, coil.

it does come with a base map , i got mine running today and works very well with the base map. from there you can start improving it with just playing around with it, or best yet would to put it on a dino...

get the cam position sensor from a later LT1 SBC ... and have the collar turned down to fit regular SBC dizzy hole.

not sure as i haven’t looked into it but check here , this is the forum for megajolt and some of the guys there have it on boosted cars... I know there are 4 user controlled areas that you can figure to activate when certain parameters are hit…

wow!

thanks!

I have to say I think I will be making the switch, it seems easy enough and gives more control than an MSD system can offer. its even better for those engines where a performace dizzy is harder and harder to find.

Im sold on it. I know theres bigg power potential to be made with a system like this...

i feel its a good system. but i have no intentions of mods past a header, weber and offy intake. so all that tuning would be wasted in my case. ill stick with msd/80s distributor, etc.

good info for future cars though

think i might save up for this, seems worth it, could tune for mpg... though i could do that now, but i don't think any of the tuning i've tried to do has helped.
