Road noise in my LUV is horrendous. I get hoarse from yelling. Anyone ever try to sound insulate the cab? If so, what'd you use?

The first thing I did was put in dynamat then put carpet over it.Buy a new shift boot that has a hole that is the same size as the shifter.Take off your door panels and put dynamat under them.Summit racing sells dynamat in there 'big book' in the audio section. This should make a huge difference if you dont have carpets and a tight fit shifter boot already.Hope this helps

Would spray-on undercoating work? Anybody ever try that?

I'm planning on putting spray in bedliner on my floors. I got holes, and it seems like a rather unique way of plugging them.

I spent about 90 bucks for the Xtreme door kit and I paid 60 bucks for the original dynamat. So I payed about 150 for the dynamat.

you might actually check out a car audio forum to get ideas on how best to sound dampen your cab....... http://www.sounddomain.com or http://www.termpro.com are really good boards.

I have heard of a lot of guys using the bedliner stuff like herculiner and once it dries appling b-quiet or dynomat-type products to the doors and floors, firewalls, under the headliners.....
what ever you end up using, try and stay away from the asphault products, some of those guys use stuff like that and deal with the accompanying smell for awhile before it goes away.....
