While I let my thumb heal a bit with the suture in it, I am pondering the front air dam. Is there a shape that allows one to be effective without destroying fuel economy? I look at WildLUVRacing74's and see a wall there. NASCAR has pretty much the same thing. Is this designed only for speed and/or holding the vehicle on the track? Allowing only so much air pass under the truck while diverting the rest to the sides and over the truck is a tricky formula I'm sure an engineer would be hard pressed to figure out. Ctmandu fabricates the old style I am used to (JCWhitney sold some with the fender flares) that I am leaning towards, but would like to change the shape just a bit to 'update' the look. This is where I don't want to create a bill board effect up front. Ideas, hints, designs, don't give a rat's butt? Thanks..

I like Scott_mcd's, but leave out the brake vents. Nice and bold! Does sit come straight down or have an angle built into it?

Hey Luvit80, is the air dam attached to the bumper? I have no valance to attach anything to. I might combine the size of the one on Scott_mcd and yours. Guess I will be sneaking in some planing on the truck this week behgind the wife's back.

It is attached to the bottom of the bumper. Here is another pic of the same damon a different truck. You do have to cut a notch in the air damn to clear the frame mounts for the bumper. Not the best pics but gives you an idea...

The rubber ones that out under Chevy full sizes were for improved fuel mileage.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

It has an angle. This is the best pic of the angle that I have right now. If you want a better pic of it let me know.

They were 60" pipes. I took them off and had dual exhaust ran out the back.
