Ok , got the light wires figured out now for a maybe dumb question. On my brakes does the front resorvoir go to the front brakes and the back one to the back or vice versa.
Also I can't see how the proportioning valve hooks up in any of the diagrams.
I want to try and get my line loc wired in to the front. i assume I will need an adapter for the lines to hook into the lock for the threads.
Any pics of the valve hooked up. Guess I should have took pics before I took everything apart.

OK as far as I can tell the 2 top outlets go to each front bracke and I assume the one in the back toward the firewal goes to the rear brakes.
:?: Were do I install the line loc. Before the proportioning valve or betwee it and the 2 front brakes. I only have 3 holes on my line loc. I assume it is one in and 2 out or is it 2 in and 1 out. Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill here or am I just olod and dumb LOL. :esurprised :econfused

Easier to remove the factory por valve. Put an adjustable por valve in the line between the master and rear brakes. Then run line from master to in on the linelock and the two out to R/L front brakes.

If you want to keep the factory por valve, then run the rear as stock, run the line from the master to the front side of por valve, plug one outlet off and run the other to the line lock in and the line lock outs to the R/L brakes.

OK, so actually you only use one outlet from the POR to the line loc. That is were I was getting comfused since there was a right and left on both. Didn't realize I had to block off one side on the por
I do have 4 holes in the loc instead of 3 so I just use one in and 2 outs.

Thanks

If you want to get rid of the por. valve. Aerospace has a master cylinder that is por. internally that works good. Have one on my race truck.

OK see if I am right. I leave the rear outlet of the original POR hooked to the rear brakes. I use the one master cylinder outlet on the front toward the grille and keep it ran to the front inlet hole on the bottom of the POR and plug the rear master cylinder hole toward the firewall or does it stay hooked to the rear inlet hole of the POR
From the front top outlet hole on the POR I run to the inlet on the line loc. The rear outlet on the master cylinder gets plugged as well as does the top and bottom holes on the POR that are on firewall side of the POR

I know this can't be that difficult but I am missing something here and making it more difficult than it iswith all lines there. Wished I could draw pics on here.
Man I must be really getting old or having one heck of a brain freeze.

Run the line from the front of the master to the rear brake inlet line on the por valve. Run the rear outlet line to the rear brakes.
Run the line from the rear of the master to the inlet of the por valve.
This is the same as stock.

Plug one front brake line on the por.
Run the second front brake line to the line lock valve.
If the line lock has two outputs, run one to the right and the other to the left front brakes.
If the line lock has only one output, run a line to a tee and then to each of the front brakes.

Cool, got the POR back on. Will run the line loc this week sometime. Have band practice tomorrow night. will end up probably getting and adjustable one later on after I get it back on the road.
Was wonder if anyone running the hooker headers have any problems with the brake line being too close to the header were it wraps around the frame. Looks awfully close and wonder if you moved the line.

I really am not a real big fan of these headers. Driver side is great.

Forgot I needed an adapter to go from SAE to M10 1.0 brake line fitting on the line loc. Hope i can find a one piece adapter to thread into the lock and then hook the brake line to. Guess i can run new line to the brake and use an adpater or coupler at the rubber line end.

Or you can reflare (double) the LUV lines using domestic fittings.

Never thought about that. i have the tool. Guess i can cut the old brake line to the new lenght I need and put the new fittings on. Will still need an adapter to go from the were themetal line hooks to the rubber brake hose.

It's gettin there though. Got my windshield and backglass put back in.

You would only need to reflare the end to the line loc, just leave the other end as is. However, I have spent a few frustrating days dealing with the factory lines, they are prone to splitting when flaring. Possibly, they could be annealed...

Your right, again a brain freeze. Wonder if I can just get the new line and redo the on end to line loc. My auto stores here only carry SAE lines.
So i also need the converter thing with the rounded part inside to to seal the flare instead of just attaching the brake line to the loc.

You can use standard 3/16 brake line and flare it and reuse the 10mm nut or get new ones. This is a lot easier then messing with the old line and having issues like mytmouz said and i have also had problems reusing the old line.

I bought 25 ft. of bulk line but ore local NAPA store also carries metric pre made lines that i use as well.Just get one longer then you need then you will have the extra line and metric nut.

will do. i talked to my machine shop this morning and they have everything i need toget it put together. Do I need to heat wrap the right side were the header wraps the frame close to the brake lines themselve.
