Well heres the latest.

Ive had a virus in my computer so I havent been able to open this site for some reason. I just got firefox and its not affected the same way. anyway I just worked on arms for mightymouz and steve w. who both have Luvs running non bag arms. so Im trying to finish these up together. I decided to totally remake the jig to be two seperate jigs for bag arms and for non bag arms. I may have said that before.

Im also slowed a little right now by the fact that Im moving my residence and my shop. Ive moved my lathe to my job along with most of my stuff and the rest goes starting tomorrow. The good thing is I will be able to work on parts during my lunch and after work and Im working on getting a key so I can work on stuff on the weekends.

I have now sent out bag arms and non bag arms and they seem to work best with S-10 spindles as the best alternate spindle. Mightymouz is doing Mustang II spindles so we shall see how they work with those. the lengths may have to be adjusted or something like that but we shall soon see. anyway, I would not reccommend using Toyota spindles unless they are drop spindles.

I can also make these for you guys running the stock spindles.

thanks and Ill get back in here more

well I just finished putting the coilover mount on Mytmouz's lowers today. I totally redesigned the jig and especially the slide that makes it adjustable to make shorter arms. I can now do any length from stock to 1" shorter in 1/4" incriments. I also added tabs to the jig to hold the coilover mounts. To complete Mytmouzs lowers I just need to press in the balljoints and ship them. They will ship tomorrow.

I am welding another set together right now. These will ship probably tomorrow as well or friday with the other two orders to be done by monday. The new jig is trick as hell and I have these down.

so theres the update so ask any questions and Ill answer them here.

Ok I am updating the website with a new pic of the coilover lowers. Im also making seperate pages for the coilover and bag arms. The pricing will also be different. I will have this done by sunday night (28th)

I also need to know a couple things from you guys. first the strut rod that holds the arm. I need to know how thick it is where it bolts to the lower balljoint holes. This way I can include the correct length bolts.

I also need to know what years the truck in question was made before it was the same bodystyle as the 81-87 Isuzu. This was I can have the correct years on my website. Im pretty sure the last year was 80 but I dont know the first year. thanks!

by the way, Terry, the arms in the new pic are yours.

Cool. And the first year was 1972, 1980 was the last for that body style.

Now I just need to know the thickness of the strut rod where the bolts go thru.

Ok, that measurement is 9/16ths. And, after looking at the pics on your site, it looks like the way you designed is is for the rod to go on the bottom of the arm? On the stockers, it is on top. (It won't matter on mine, I'll figure something out, and I can try it both ways and let you know if it works)...

I am making uppers now. I will be making some all day tomorrow and should be able to ship some on Monday. Steve W, your lowers will ship then as well. I am boxing them tonight and may have the uppers ready monday. I will email you if they are done.

I am trying to figure out what screw in balljoint fits the Mustang II spindle (lower) so I can finish arms for Hotrod Express. then I will be done with all the Luv arms for now. I just sent some Luv bag arms this morning.

So, this means that IF any of you want some Luv arms and dont want to wait about 4 weeks for me to get the jigs back out you can order now and only have to wait till next weekend to get them.

any questions? thanks guys for all your support on this project.

Cool. The lower ball joint number is supposed to be a Moog # K727 or equivalent. The Speedway Motors part # is 917-20036...

I got information from speedwaymotors.com that the mustang II uses the same balljoint for the upper and lower.

I also checked this with a friend that had these spindles on a rod. The 727 may have the same shaft size but use a different length or perhaps a different body. Ill check the 727 tomorrow.

I have 2 orders for the Mustang II upper and lowers and Im using the K772 on both of those. If for some reason the 727 has to be used and its a large cup instead of the small one used by the 772 I can easily cut off the small cup and install the large one.

I am on the last set of uppers, and I will be done welding them together tomorrow. I may get them all cleaned up and balljoints pressed in so I can ship them.

For sure the parts shipping tomorrow are Steve W, Terry P and Hotrod Express.

tomorrow is the last day I will have the LUV jigs out unless someone wants to order some. when the jigs get put up it will be ablout 4 weeks before i can get back to them

any questions?
