Hey - I am doing the 350/350 conversion and am wondering?

I have a '76 luv and want to use the stock harness.....which gm alternator is the easiest to install?

i used the stock alt with a chrome bracket off the header bolts on the
left side of the motor i think there is a pic in the main gallary

I am using the stock alternator also. Try autofab, which is where I got my install kit from. It came with the bracket to mount the stock alt onto the motor (mine is a v-6) but they should have v8 ones also. The only thing I had to do was lengthen the wires as it mounts on the other side of the motor now.

I myself wired in the GM alternator and it has worked flawlessly all these years. The amperage increase is a major plus, and the stock voltage regulator is no longer needed. If anyone needs a basic wiring diagram, sent me an e-mail and i'll send you one.
