I found an adapter set for a 6 -> 5 lug conversion. . .

http://www.adaptitusa.com/index.asp?Pag ... &ProdID=45

I have a ford 8" that I am putting in the back with a 5 x 4.5 lug pattern, and I have been working on ways to match the front so I dont have any wheel filiment issues, well I really don't feel good about adapters, but I have less faith in someone drilling or redrilling my hubs and such. so I think this will be a good solution.

I guess I will be the guinnea pig on this one, and I'll tell you how this works out for me. . .

It is a delemma alright. The stock hubs can be reworked to a 5 lug pattern but it's a permanent mod. The rotor and hub cant be separated after that. Going with adapters will set the tires out from underneath the truck. And with 2" on each wheel, it's going to be noticable in the looks of it and the way it steers.
You might want to give a heads up on how it actually works. If it's worth the money or not.

Yeah hopefully I can find a rim that I like with a backspacing enough to where it will not stick out too far, and my truck is a street truck only, so no hard tracking will be done on it, I believe most tracks will turn you away if you have adaptors. . .

You might actually look into getting an older Toyota front spindle with disc break setup. The Toyota should bolt right on the LUV.... Had a 74 done this way..... :lol:

I used the toyota hub and had a machine shop build spacers for the bearings then heated them put them on the spindle so now they are just about permanent. If you use adapters that are fairly thick try looking at the 88 up t-bird for wheels. this will also work if the rear is to wide. 8)

I will look into it on the spacers,problem is i need the bearings and the spindle,then again i could get the hubs and have the spacers built and sell one or both. I'm going to check into it stay tuned.

that would be sweet . I don't have access to any machines like that and all the shops around here don't want to mess with it . If i had 15,000 of them i needed they would be happy to build them.

I think it was early 80's toyota rotors... You should be able to use the Toyota spidles on the luv lower control arm and upper a-arms... Then the rotors fit perfect...

I used 94 toyota 2WD hub/rotor asy's the seals fit but needed to build spacer rings so the bearings would fit then used Mopar 2.2 head bolt washers to space the caliper.If you look close at the picture that Farmer Joe posted you can see the spacers between the caliper and the mount bracket.I am trying to get a camera to get better photos for people. hang in there :lol:
