I was wondering if anyone here bought disc brakes off a parts truck or somthing like that and did a swap, because i went down to the local junk yard today and they want 154$ for some spindles, calipers and rotors?????

You dont need the spindles for the disk brake conversion. Read the pdf file in the information section of the website. It's a good article to read for the disk setup. You need hubs, rotors, backing plates and caliper brakes at least. You can either rebuild a set of calipers from the junkyard or buy a rebuilt set from your local parts store. Also buy a set of brake lines and pads. It might cost more than your willing to shell out but it's a way better brake setup than the front drum system.

The spindles for 72-80 model trucks are the same( same part #). I thought that too until i read the article in the information section. I had replaced the ball joints earlier before the disk brake conversion and it was a good thing that i didn't have to risk damaging the ball joints to do the mod.
