OK IVE BEEN READING AROUND FORUM AND SEEN EITHER LIFTED LUVS OR BAGGED LUVS HOWEVER WHAT ARE OPTIONS ON LOWERING THE FRONT END OF A LUV (1976 2WD) IF YOU DO NOT WANT AN AIR RIDE SUSPENSION, OTHER THAN JUST CRANKING ON TORSION BARS LIKE THE HARDBODY GUYS DO?

Well I cranked the bars down on mine because mine is just a drag truck and thats all its used for, but you can convert your to a S10 front spindles and run a 2" drop spindle. And then you can also run a five lug wheel.

Look up reindexing the torsion bars. You can remove the rubber stoppers and then loosen the bars to lower the truck. It will ride poorly. So I reindexed the bars. This gives the bars the stock amount of torsion at the lower height.

you dont have to do no mods other then change over to the s10 balljoints and thats really it, you will change spindles, upper and lower balljoints, tie rod ends, and then rotor and caliper. if you look throught the forms you will find a topic that tells you step by step on what you need to do.

ok so i read up on the s10 drop spindle mod and it seems you have to fab a mounting plate on your lower arm to work? the first guy that did it has copyrighted this? what is all this about?

Correct me if im wrong, but your only breaking the copyright if you make one identical.

Make your own, make it similar but not the same :ewink l

You can make a exact copy and not break any copywrirte as long as you do not try to market it meaning you can make it for your self and not get into trouble .

Now has the S-10 conversion been perfected and proven to work safely?
