I was wondering if anyone knows of any other stepside beds that fit on the frame. I really want a stepside on my 4x4 but they are so hard to find. any info would be great.

I would post in the wrecking yard forum. Once in awhile I do see them in a wrecking yard.

Ok, age old question for the newbies…(where are you located) something that big is $$$ to ship and easier if some one is closer to you that you can work something out to pick up or have delivered … they can be found easily if you look around, I know of 14 in Salem alone, well 12 I bought 2 and shipped them of to people or they cam from out of state to get it … they can be had for free to about $500 most I ever paid was $225 I think…
As for other beds only the import trucks from the 70’/80’ made by California step side will fit with moving the bottom bed to frame rails other wise anything will fit with a little modification , time and $$$

I am in delaware just trying to get a step side for my '79 4x4. How do you tell who the beds are made by??

just by looking at them but 99.9 that you find will be California step side beds ... i have been into luvs since 1978 and never seen any of the others, on occasion you might find a home built one
