Someone please post a few pics and some info on welding in parts from another vehicle that has coil springs instead of torsion bars. If no one has any good pics, or really good info, then I will go to the junkyard with my generator, saws all, torch and a twelve pack and try to get some parts off of something to make my coil spring conversion. I don't want to use coil over shocks because of cost and I am not sure they will hold up to the rough terrain like regular coils and shocks.

On another note, I have all of the suspension parts off of my donor truck, and am having problems getting the front bolts out of the leaf springs. I took the small retainer bolts out, and the large nuts off of pin. What am I missing? The bolts are really stuck and not coming out. (five pound sledge and a torch didn't budge them)

Grimace, also check out Tad Kimbler's truck in the gallery. He did a simple coil-over kinda conversion that didn't involve a bunch of fabrication. You'll still have to cut and weld a little, but shouldn't be too bad.

Alright. Thanks guys. When I do mine, I will make a kind of slide show explanation with directions so that others can do what I do if it works.
