I am thinking about designing a wood floor for my 79 luv because the bed on mine is rotting and I have had to cut out about a quarter of the bed and I like the look of the wooden truck beds.

That would look good for sure. I'm pretty sure they make kits for other more popular trucks. Are you going to modify something like that or are you going to make your own as you go? :lol:

I am going to design it as i go> most of the universal kits I have seen are $500 and up. I was watching on how wood canoes were made and it showed them sealing the wood with one layer of fiberglass and resin. It still will show the wood grain and it would be weather proof. When I get started I post pictures.

you may have to double check your fiberglass
because some have different tints and don't have the same strength as canoe fiber.
