I am currently working on getting my 1980 four wheel drive luv back on the road. I just got finished rebuilding a 2.2 liter diesel out of a 1982 luv and have it installed. My question to you guys today is how I should go about wiring the newer alternator to work with my older trucks wiring. I know the older model is externally regulated is there a good way around this. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt

I went with a GM one wire alt made for a 350 chev motor, and i know a few other here that have too, but i think you might be in the wrong place for this topic, you might try going to the diesel section or even the stock truck section since this is for "BODY AND CHASSIS UPGRADES" you might irritate some people here... ive seen it happen before...
