Are the dash pads from JC Whitney worth spending my money on? Anyone ever install one?

They're actually dash pad CAPS, but yes, I installed one a few years ago on my old 76 luvs, and I was VERY pleased with the results. I had to remove alot of the old dash, but once you glue the cap on, it won't come back off. Looks almost factory.

Worth every penny. A guy sells them on Ebay too, I think they normally go for around $40.

Try http://www.dashtops.com .You can get a dash cap for around 75 dollars. They fit well and they look good.

Yes, i have one installed in my truck. I put it in last summer and it's holding up well concidering with what i had to start with. Look at the pics in the main gallery and you'll see. I used thin layers of cork material to take place of the original dash top and sections of egg crate style light diffuser to make replacement vents. Im glad it looks as good as it does.
