Im putting my battery in the bed of my luv because I have a box that I never used on a previous project. So why let it sit around collecting dust. Wheres the best spot in the bed to put it? This truck may see some hauling duty and its not going to be a drag truck. So way in the back in the middle like Ive seen on other trucks is out. Thanks for any help.

I've got mine sunk in the bed floor in the front, passenger-side corner (mine's a stepside). I used a street rod batterybox, all metal, with a metal top. Gound cable goes right to the frame, positve cable goes to a switch mounted in the engine compartment - the type of switch drag racers mount on the back of the race car. This lets me shut off the power if I'm working on something, and also gives me a hot post for a timing light, etc.

yo bighappy you saw mine in the bed it is on the pass side between the wheel wel and the front of the box and it works good. put the wires down thru the bed (with grommets) bneg to frame pos to starter ( or remote solinoid) and there you go.

Thats a good location, just wanted to know if anyone had gotten creative with it. I like the sunkin into the floor idea, but just bolting the box to the bed floor will do.
