Autofab is right down the road from my house. They have always been pricey but from what I understand their product is of decent quality. Try to avoid Unlimited as although they say they have revised their manufacturing process, their customer service still sucks. Harwood or some place like that is your best bet

I got the hood today :D Quality is much better than the L-88 hood I got in the mid 90's. However it is not ready to paint but better than what I was expecting. It is not long enough to go to the windshield but is angled back and looks good.

They did however forget to charge shipping. It came by truck and the driver said all I had to do was sign. I told him shipping was due and even had him call and check and he still said just sign so I still have my shipping money :D

I have to cut it to get it on because of the blower but will get some pics soon.

Congrats on the hood, can't wait to see pics, as I want to eventually get one for mine.
Just an FYI on the shipping though.
When I got my cowl hood for my SS I had the same thing happen, I thought sweet, I don't have to pay shipping. Well about 2 or 3 months later I get a bill from the shipping company. It takes them a while to process it but you will get charged, so don't spend the money you set aside for shipping as you will eventually get a bill.

i hated my unlimited hood l88 model but i have at least 30 hours of block sanding to make it streight ps if you are going to make a latch set up and not pins the hood is to flat and doesnt fit so i flipped mine over between two saw horses with a tool box in the middle and cut the support brace a few times and glassed it up it stayed and fits now

I made the hood latch and it works great! I used Mid 80's Honda Accord latches on the body and mid 80's Mercury Cougar on the hood. The Accord latches on both sides and that is what I had to do also. the Cougar part is the part off of the body and is a round bracket and helps out on the angle needed to make it all work.

I dont think anybody makes a 4 3/4" hood for the LUV unless you get a flat glass hood and buy the scoop separate and have it molded on. Or the LUV hood can be gutted of its supports and you can add Jegs PN 487-1007 hood scoop to it, use Dzus fasteners and it will be fairly light.
