Do to recent posts about engine bay heat on v8 luvs, I thought I could add the fender vents and shaker hood scoop from my 79 T/A to my luv for the heat to escape from. Mine hasnt run yet but it sounds like a common problem. Not to sure about the look though. What do you all think.

I mocked it up last night and it just looks like ass. Scrap that idea. My original thought was to have my freind fab a cowl for me and weld it on. Itll look better anyways.

It looked like ass... Too bad. It sounded like a cool idea.

I had no problems with heat on my truck. But as you can tell there is no inner fenders at all and I have a large radiator ( full size pickup) and 2 14" electric fans. No engine driven fan ( couldn't spare the power to drive a fan).

My truck runs at 190 and is cooled by a small 4 core Rad,12" plastic fan on motor and a 14" eletric fan but the truck also has a cowl hood, the thing is to make sure you burp the cooling system of air you don't want air trapped in the motor.

And make sure you use a coolant recovery tank with the correct type of cap on the radiator. If the motor burps air, the tank provides a source of coolant to keep the system filled
