Does anyone know what gear ratio was available for the luv trucks from the factory?

3:30 if you go with a older Mazda B2000 or Ford Courier. I used this settup with a 231 V6 and a Turbohydromatic tranny back in 87. Still needed a 4th gear though in my opinion for highway use.

The rear end in an Impulse is 3.9


Same diff center as the Luv/PUP, only bit im not sure on is if the axles are the same spline count. Pretty sure they are.


Thats the easiest way but it will put your speedo out.

Or swap the diff.



Or use bigger tyres.

If you go an inch or two inches higher in the tyres you can put in a lowering block the same size and the car will still sit nice.
