yup...the most common axle to use in the Isuzu crowd is a D44 out of a Waggy..just about the right width..has the same lug pattern..and also has the passenger side diff drop. Another option would be a Toyota Mini-truck axle (79-85 they had them). the one that I personally am looking at doing is using that front axle off a 80 series Land Cruiser (coils, full floater, tons of gearing and locker options) and then putting a Isuzu 12 bolt in the rear..check out the Isuzu section of this site's forum..tons of info on SAS's http://www.4x4wire.com

edit: I noticed the Raider in your siggy..4x4wire also has a really good bunch of Mitsu guys there as well..you can find pretty much any info you want on the Raider/Monty :D

Am really wondering about putting it on a 2 wheel drive like an old gasser drag car.

Sold my Raider.
