A semi-local fiberglass place has scoops of various styles fairly reasonable. Anybody ever put a glass scoop on their metal hood?

I helped install one (on the roof....dunno why) thursday.
We took and ground it down to bare metal, and used fiberglass patch mats, to hold it on.

I have done a few of these by using something called Dynaglass. Don't know if it is still on the market, but it is like bondo but has a high fiber content. Just sand all of the paint off of the hood and rough up the surface of the hood scopp where it will attach to the hood and use the Dynagalss like glue. Never had one come off and even attached fiberglass fender flares with the stuff.

DO NOT DO IT!
the fiberglass and the metal expand at different heat ranges and whatever you do will crack.
Ask me how I know.........

if you put a scoop on a metal hood you can bolt it to it and not put any bondo, or bonding agent it should be o.k.
