I am in the process of building framework for a tilt front clip, however, I am doing it while the LUV is my only mode of transportation to and from work..... I am using 1.5" square tubing with a 1/8" wall thickness. As I am doing this after regular business hours, I dont have the shop to use, so I am using a cutting wheel on a 7 1/4" skillsaw, and will be having a buddy weld up the joints so I can keep working at home.... The only problem I am having is the radiator. Since I did not move the firewall back, I had to put the radiator between the bumper and frame, and since it is a large alum. I dont have the room to mount the hinge on the front bumper bolts, so we will see how I end up hinging it... Lets hope it turns out good.

I have checked that out and it has helped. I have decided to cut and the bumper brackets and weld them onto the uprights for the tilt hood so the bumper also turns down, I am gonna use the side mounting holes for my hinge point... Thanks for the site ctmandu.
