ok i had some problems with my truck to stay running i would be driving and it would just shut of so i got an ignition switch out of a 63 chevy and put it in and it worked it runs good like old times my(Q) is on the back of the stock switch there is 5 males to plug the plug in on the top of the ignition switch back this is what you see on the back of the switch 3 on top and two on the bottom



1(AM)2(R)3(ACC)
4(IG)5(ST)
i know what 3,4,5 are but i have no idea 1 and 2 are
1
2
3 is for the accessory
4 is for the ignition switch
5 is for the stater
so for you all what is one and two all your help thanks

i had the same question on my 74
i tried to trace the wires and here is what i got
1(radio)2(coil +)3(power return to solenoid)
4(solenoid 's')5(coil resistor +)
i wonder if i got it wrong? but someone is sure to be able to help us.
