My 75 Luv's wireing harness is patched, cut, and just plan ratty. I don't have a extra couple of hundred for a new wireing setup right now.

I have a mid 80's chevy 1/2 ton parts truck and a 92' VW passat that I can strip the harness out of. I know the Chevy truck should be a little easier, just because it is a truck. The Luv is more of a Import so the passat harness may wotk just as well.

Chevy truck? Or Passat.

Richard

PapaG, I can't say anything about a Passat. I wouldn't know it the dimensions and/or the equipment was the same. Maybe you already know the engine is the same. Is it? Well here's a comment right out off the top of my head...why don't you just go get a bunch of primary wire and build your own harness. It can't be that hard. I was looking at my harness the other day and I had that thought. If I ever need it, I'm building my own. Why watch the grass grow when you could be building your own harness!!!

That is what I was thinking about saying. Or possibly buying a Painless wiring harness. I rewired my Luv race truck a couple years ago. I went to Menards, bought different rolls of wire and wired it myself. Good luck on which ever you decide.

It has the turn signal switch, all relays and the fuse box with cover, it does have some cut wires (only the one's going to the carb) other wise it is in perfect shape. I also have the harness from the main harness that follows the frame rail to the tail lights. Make me a offer, I was thinking 20 bucks plus shipping, but am willing to hear your offer. If you need a reference on me I can PM you a few names of members to that I have done business with before.

Sounds like a terribly generous offer to me. If Papa G doesn't jump on this offer, he must just like pain. Is that a saddist or masochist? Can't remember.

Anyhow, TAKE THE OFFER!

lol,
Eric Q.

There is a guy on Ebay that builds wiring harnesses. I bought one for the LT1 going in my truck for $80.00.
