My truck only has lap belts. I do see a bracket mounted up by the corner of the cab sides near the top. Is this for the newer lap-chest type belts? If not can I reto fit the newer belts to this truck?
Thanks

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

I got seat belts out of a Toyota pickup in the wreaking yard for $10.00 and they bolted right up. You will need to drill a small hole where you bolt the seat belt to the cab at the bottom. There is a small tab on the seat belt ratchet end. You will see it if you use them. I just washed them up with soapy brush to get them clean, and it worked great. This might work for you if your on a tight budget like me.

The early LUV trucks came with a shoulder strap that clipped to the lap belt. It was optional to go with the shoulder strap. If you just wanted the lap, the shoulder strap had a clip that would hang the strap up on the bolt.
I upgraded my seatbelts with those that are shown on the link. And yes, you'll need to drill a hole to mount the housing. Make sure that you mount the housing directly below the bolt at the top of the cab. The strap needs to reel into the housing straight and for the automatic locking mechanism to work.
I got tired of dealing with the loose strap seatbelt and bought the new retractable units. I am better off with them and they cleaned up the interior a bit.
