I just picked up a core support assy that i plan to refit to my truck. The support itself looks to be in pretty fair shape concidering the overall look of the truck it came out of. The yard guys did a good job of removing it for what i need and they kept track of all the hardware.
The 2 bolts that hold the support to the forward frame were severly corroded on the area of the rubber bushings. This was a 77 LUV so im willing to think that any LUV can have this problem. As bad as this looks, Im certian that i will replace these bolts on my truck regardless of the condition. Of course the bushings were wasted as they all are after 30 or so years, but these bolts were so bad that i felt i needed to tell eveyone about them. These 2 bolts are the only solid anchor point for the front structure so it would be wise to inspect them.

The next closest body mount point is clear back behind the firewall, right under your feet basically. I've never had a problem but it always seemed like the cab and front end could be mounted more securely.

The right hand bolt up front is right down where any battery runoff goes. I've seen a couple of trucks where that corner was completely ate away. Definitely a good idea to check that area out for rust problems.
