Thanks to 72 luv thing for being the first and sharing

The seal used is for a 68-79 VW bus side window without vent wing.

I got mine at Bill & Steves VW parts in Downey CA part number 221845321A
They are readily available at VW restoration shops for $30

I would say it is a good alternative for a cracked or damaged seal but it is not an exact replacement. I took a slider window when I bought it and it was snug on it. I have a flex thru on my truck which seems to be smaller than my slider is. The seal was loose on the flex thru. It was a little weird putting on and the flex thru seems to barely fit in the seal, but it is much better that the stock damaged seal I had. I am almost thinking my flex thru is for a Datsun not a Luv. That being said I think a slider or a stock window would fit the seal better.

Here are the seals side by side

This is a potential drawback, depending on your paint job the new seal may not cover the same area.

I used some SEM trim black to disguise the ugly

It needs to be a 68-79 Bus side window (no vent wing), this looks like a 67 which would be too small.

Yes it will work, I took my extra slider to the VW shop and tried it on there.

Those are just hard plastic dash caps. They are a good alternative to a new dash though.
