Well I took a trip out to ShawnyBs place today to see the Luv frame in person. His frame is bare but still has the suspension on it. I did some measuring and figuring. I should be able to have something very soon.

The 36.5mm hole in the frame should be no problem. Its just a matter of making a sleeve that goes in there and welds in. Ill update here as soon as I have some significant information to pass on.

Im still trying to figure out the best way to do the lower bushings. The clearance between the bushings and the steering are the problem.

I will have something soon and a prototype arm just after that. Ill keep you posted.

Well the latest is that Im working on a way to make the lower bushings work with the small amount of clearance behind the steering.

I will come up with a solution. Its a good thing I went and saw shawnyBs truck frame. That visual helped alot.

The thing with the lowers is that I have to eliminate the strut rods, so that means an A shaped arm, plus it has to be strong enough for the guys running a V-8

It may be a situation where the tube in the frame has to be modified.

Im finishing up a set of lower arms for a customer and then Im 100% on these.

right now im devoting a little time here and there to it.

as you may know I have the uppers worked out and I have the first set done.

The balljoint in the center is an S-10 upper balljoint. I only had one that I use for templates and such in the shop. Ill get new pics as soon as I go get some new balljoints.

Let me know what you think.

They are beautiful

So the lower arms will be available also so we can do the 5 lug s=10 spindle swap. I still haven't got mine started with the new motor in yet . Almost ready. Just have to put the tranny fluid in and get my lower radiator hose and put the plug wires on and it should be ready to start and break the cam in.
Alm ost afraid to start it after all the trouble I have had. Hoping to do the 5 lug swap before I put it back together after getting it reprimered and ready to paint. At least it will come back apart easy if i wait for the swap.

Ok Peeps I have finally figured out how to make the lowers work with the stock steering and also eliminate the strut rods. Heres a drawing of how I plan to do this. I will have to take another drive out to Shawny Bs house to look at a frame up close and do some more measuring. Heres a pic and feel free to ask me as many questions as you like.

So basically you will have to remove the torsion bars and run either bags or coil overs?

EDIT:
I just went out to my LUV, my frame rails are outside of the lower arm mounting point and I cant see where to add a second mount to the truck.

I found this pic of the lower a arm attatchment, its the pic on the botton left page.

Also this pic, see #3, where do you add the second support for the a arm

On the arm, in your pic where you have written tube with bushing welds on frame, can the arm be bent at that position to come closer to the original mounting position? Any of the v8 trucks with headers are going to have tubes in that position...

I can make these narrow like the stock ones if you V-8 guys need the clearance but that involves using the strut rods. The arm has to be about 7" between the bushings. ill add the dimensions to the drawing. I think theres enough clearance even for a V-8.

Ill also see if I can throw something together in CAD. Then we can see the actual dimensions for these.

The hooker swap headers that most guys run for the v8 is the reason for me asking. On each side, one of the header tubes wraps around the outside of the frame on each side before going back under the frame to the collector...
