I dont know about an VQ motor.

Whats a luv weigh??? 1200kgs or soemthing whats that 2800lbs or so???

That would be less than a 200SX, SR20 would be more than ample.

Just EFI on the stock motor would sprite it up a bit and have it turn key reliable, set and forget pretty much.

I like those tyres. Old school.

I want that chrome bumper. lol.

Bob.

I am still sold on a chevy v8. Looking under 5.3 as well. Just tossing thoughts and ideas around and in my head. But other solutions are in search of.

if sr was the plan then id just go with a 327 or 350 from the junkyard.
but still. long ways away for now!

Long day. So not partial for one to fiddle on PS without a mouse. My laptop isn't fun to do that on.

I just pushed out the thought of selling mine :) . Around Porterville atm? And actually am in talks with a guy, ganna see him again tomorrow after church, about his 75 :D He's got a 71 monte carlo too I wanna look at  My friend recently in wake of my other luvs murder, gave me his crx, hes moving out back to the philippines, cause cost of living is so cheap, with the $ he got from selling his home here and his other cars, he can live happily there for the rest of his life.

But yah, I got a 90 crx I need to reg on wed, b18c5 integra type r swap from his previous totaled tegra, interior etc parts came from the teggy, I may trade to the guy, cause his son needs a rice rocket, he drives a 68 ss chevelle and he say its gulping gas with its 396 hahahaa, so may trade for the truck and monte, which needs some new paint and interior.

I will be stopping by bakersfield tomorrow to pick up a pair of recaros from a friend, as well crow harnesses for some concept artwork of his sl500 (old ass mercedes coupe) and for doing the airbrush work on his gibson. so its a nice trade off.

Things are looking up for me, but I think Ill rip up the monte and toss the recaros, toss the sparco steering wheel in there, and it could be a nice weekend driver. ionno.

my dad just put some cash down on a Lee Charger he found up here to, sitting in a guys garage since 1978. Parked and forgotten. So ganna rent a uhaul truck and flatty to take home. He has an old sportster too that I picked up for $200 as a roller.

Good weekend over all! I feel happy!
Grandmas brand oatmeal cookies are so damn good!

Well its almost 2am, I should get to bed so I can get up for church!
Have a good one guys!

Thanks bud! But guy ended up coming earlier today with a big truck and a trailer, took the crx home brought the monte here, and we will go get the truck on the weekend when we head back up there for something else.

I get a bunch of old fishing poles, some gear, and he may toss in a old 65 mustang coupe he has had sitting up at his brothers since they where younger if I trade across the apexi n1 muffler, as well some oil paintings i did he saw in the garage, mustang has no motor, no trans, just a straight little pony.

Did I mention my new camera was dropped? :( So now its ganna be taken back and warrenty cashed in, and mailed back to me :ebiggrin

Oh yah, got into a arguement with my dad, hahahaa, I snapped a craftsman socket, it couldnt do the job and was only a few weeks new. Broke his craftsman socket as well. CRACKKKK! Then tried my harbor freight cheapo socket. Prestooooo! Works like a charm!

My dad said it must of been a fluke. That the craftsman sockets loosened it. Hahahaa :econfused

Screw it, I am ganna need to move. anyone know where I can find listings for which states are smog exempt?

Just my 2 cents on smog. I live in Northern CA. I'm not to happy with the smog laws either. It's almost worth to have a 72-75 Luv, if you want to have something other than a stocker. But that's easier said than done when you already have the attachment to your 1980.

Most of the other states have a rolling smog exception. Californias use to be 30 (and 25 before that). So a lot of the other states are except state at 1982. That is if you want to move out of state. We may have a higher cost of living, but we also have higher paying jobs. That's just a generalitzation though. I would weigh out all the postives and negatives on the choices you have.
