heck ya post some pics! I did just converted over to 5lug with a early Toyo knuckle setup, Ball joint to ball joint, but with the Cragies they are out about 1/2" too far and I'd like to find a way to bring them in a bit with a control arm mod. I wonder if anyone has found an SPC upper control arm that would fit on a LUV, that would solve a LOT of lowering issues.

Been a while.... Between daily stress of the shop and constant computer malfunctions I haven't been on here in a while.

But to answer your question, Yes these can be put into production. I have actually spent several of the last couple of months putting the product to additional testing for R&D. I have modified the design for easier installation. Then of course I currently have two designs as well. One using a press in S10 lower ball joint, The other using a explorer lower ball joint with a lock ring. Using the S10 lower ball joint is cheaper yet a lock ring gives people that added piece of mind. Neither design has brought up any issues with safety or fatigue.

As far as appearance, most GM wheel fits with inside the fenders.

All serous inquiry PM me and I will see what can be arranged.

I'm tired of waiting on plates. Gonna try and make my own or go to the Aerospace conversion or forget it altogether.

I went with the Aerospace kit. It was kinda pricey, but when you are running high 9's at 130-something mph, I wanted to be safe. The kit is also very easy to install. Just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks, just tired of waiting and want to get on with the program. Mine won't be near that for a long time. I just want to get stuff done and then go from there.

Hello all. First This is my first day in this forum. I am on several others and banned from a couple more....

anyway, Im here because I was sent the link by a guy thats trying to do a conversion. I sent him an email after seeing his post on SSM about anyone making tube arms for the LUV that would use a different spindle. If I remember correctly he wanted to run a Toyota spindle.

Well, Im about to go to the local pick n pull tomorrow as I do most weekends to do some "wrecking yard research" as I call it. I usually buy at least one control arm or spindle and sometimes both. I will be looking into the types of arms these things have and Ill see what I can do to make these.

I currently make Toyota arms that use S-10 balljoints. Why? because the taper and hole sizes are the same and the S-10 balljoints in aftermarket form have much more travel. The upper especially.

I can make a set of tube arms that fit the LUV chassis and use pretty much whatever spindle you want. Id prefer a Toyota or S-10 spindle. All I need to get the ball rolling is ONE stock upper and ONE stock lower.

I dont have to cut them up or anything I just use them for measurement and dimensions purposes. So Ill be looking for these pieces tomorrow. If I cant fond any I will have to see if he or someone else will send one. I would need the set over a weekend. Thats about all the time I need to get the jig made.

The real question for me? Is there a market for these? Id have to be able to sell about 3 sets to break even on making a jig and all the research needed.

thanks and if theres some advertising rules that Im close to breaking please let me know. thanks!

OK well Im going to do the research today and Im probably going to be making at least this one set. I will have to set up at least a temporary jig.

I will post pics of my progress in case any of you want to know what you can do to mod stock arms or build your own.

I will also look into advertising to see what I need to do to be able to talk about these here as a seller. thanks for your input

If it is permissible, then I would suggest starting your own thread, as most people on this board avoid this thread like a plague. And please post progress pics, I would like to see the finished product and wouldn't mind having a set for later...

Don't worry about the thread, It is long been water under the bridge as far as I am concerned and no big deal anymore. Heck just start a new one and go from there, I would think it would be ok in my opinion, I think evn if it is related to the other conversions or what have you, it is a great idea and would be beneficial to all of us. I still have my s-10 spindes waiting to be used for anyones conversion.
