How does this effect your wheel stance and width? do you have any pictures of the stance and width? also what wheels are you running on the front? I'm wondering because the width of the front of our trucks is minimal for wheel applications in 6lug. But if the 5 lug conversion works and still retains the same width this may allow for more wheel options.

Seeing as I am doing these 1 wheel at time and only have 1 wheel complete at this time I cant give you overall width.

On the front I am running a Weld Pro Star 15 x 5 with 3" of backspace. Mounted to them are a set of Dunlop 185/65/15 A2 D60s. I can tell you the wheel that's mounted sits perfectly inside the wheelwell. Nothing extends outside. As best I can tell with the naked eye the spindle/wheel sits perfectly verticle on the stock control arms.

I would imagine I am going to need a serious alignment once its all up and going or chances are I'll wear tires uneven as I know it's got to be off somewhere. I'll throw up a picture for you once I finish the other side. Today I spend a few hours getting off the stock spindle on the other side.

It's unbelievable how much dirt and junk falls out of your control arms when you pound on them with a hammer.

Thats for sure on the dirt. If you ever get where you can make and sell me some plates guess I'll have to buy either 2 or 4 new rims again. I hae 2 8 inch prostars and 2 10 inch pacers. I'll have to get 2 fronts of one or the other to match. I just bought 2 MT streets for mt 10 incher pacers.

On the back I have Weld 15 x 8s and 26 x 10.5 Mickey Ts ETs with 5.5" in backspacing. That's the largest wheel I can put under my stock wheel well.

ok finished the front end. 2nd side s10 spindle from start to finish took about 2 hours. No problems.

The picture of the front wheel I did tonight is slightly crooked but you get the idea the wheel sits straight verticle on the s10 ball joints.

are still making these plates to convert to s10 spindles, and are drop spindles my only option? lowering the truck is not what i really want to do.
i have no dought that 1/4 inch are think enough for all around use. but if i do a v-8 swap and do some real hard launches do you think the metal will fatigue. get back with me as soon as you can

Well I haven't gotten a straight cost on what it will cost to water jet these to go into a full production however I do have several sets made that have been created with plasma cutter, mill, and a layth.

Factory S10 or drop spindles will work well. You can either mount the adapter plate on the top side of the lower control arm without any cutting or on the underside with clearance modifications.

I have done this swap to a 79 Luv w/ 355 sbc just recently. Using the factory torsion bars and 2 inch drop spindles in the front and a S10 rear end in the rear. The thing road smooth and look sharp with corvette ralleys all the way around.

I have had quite a few people contact me wanting adapters. I made mine from scratch and it took a ton of effort. With just a hand drill rather than a drill press the ball joint 2" hole ruins a $15 bit each set. If I charged what would motivate me to make a set they'd be like $150 a set and nobody wants to pay that.

The other guy who says he has made several sets and its easy as cake might be a better route. FYI- I'd thnk twice about sending him money up front as I was told he sent me 2 different sets and mysteriously never received anything in the mail.

OK first off Hyper before you get to far along. While my search for a patent may have not successfully drawn a conclusion. I do however own the legal copy rights to these adapters as of Nov 8 2006. For that matter as everyone on here as my wittiness on Oct 28 2006, when this swap was first brought up.

Now before we start questioning or bashing anyone integrity here. First off just to make it clear to EVERYONE never once did any money trade hands between Hyper and I. The agreement was for Hyper to supply a small amount of web space for advertisement for this swap. Indeed I did ship two completely different sets of adapters. One set even TWICE. The first set was returned nearly a month after they was shipped. At first I thought it was the company Pak-Mail that was pulling my chain, but the last package was sent (The same time Hotrod's E-brake handle was shipped) via the local post office. When questions irised this time I went straight to the post office. All they could tell me was "The was shipped somewhere" they gave me the date that the package was suppose to be received. I do still have all the receipts I can have them scanned and post them if need be. I think I even still have a receipt where I had to pay for repackaging due to the first set being loosely packaged in a box.

Which I will go ahead and admit the first package was sent to the wrong street address and/or zip but that package was returned. The two other attempts I am more then positive that it was shipped

:Edit: Just out of respect of privacy:

What do you want man? For me to throw away another set of these adapters to the mail man and waste more of my time and money.

As the adapters them self, as already said I do have 10 sets on hand where I paid a machine shop here while back to make these for me. I have 6 sets for a press fit and 4 sets for a press fit with lock ring. To all of you who sent request about these adapters a while back I apologize to not getting back to you sooner but the first half of this year was crazy, We where covered and had new customers coming in ever few minutes it seemed like.

I have installed these on currently four trucks. Both of my project trucks, a friend who is building a drag truck, and a customers 79 with SBC (Which I test drove and put through its paces) and I have yet to receive any complaints about my product. Well least those who can get there hands on them it seems.

Well thats about enough for me right about now any farther questions, feel free to ask. I bid you all good day. :smt109

I am not going to go into a long winded explanation trying to justify my side of this transaction. I provided a service in exchange for some plates. You 1st didn't ship the plates to the right location then after I counciled you on the 2nd shipment to get tracking and signature confirmation to insure they arrived as planned, you didn't, and somehow the package never arrived. A whole $2.00 difference in shipping and we'd really know where the package is or if it was even sent as you claimed. I could go into a few of the lies I caught you in but I am not going to drag this through the mud anymore.

Now you are asking what I want from you- nothing at this point. It bothers you for people on this forum to hear the events that unfolded but all I do is say the truth. I am not into bad mouthing anyone unjustly.

I am an understanding person and emails explaining real problem you might have been having in sending the plates would have been understood. When all of a sudden the email address you used to converse with me for a month goes dead no matter how many times I send emails asking for updates and help on the conversion and you for some reason stopped responding. When you stop communicating and the plates never arrive- what's someone to think?

As to selling the plates, as you can see I have no real interest. I don't have the tools to fab them as efficiently as you do nor am I really interested in the liability of it. I have received several PMs asking about me making them and I put people off as I don't have the time nor energy. FYI- just because you made a set and put them on your truck in no way allows you to be the ideas owner. That's silly. Anyone can fab them, sell them and make millions off them UNTIL you go through the proper legal procedures to make the item in questions your legally. At that point- you have a right to seek retribution for people infringing on it. The morals of stealing someone's idea and making a profit from it is bad judgment to begin with so you're safe with me.

Ok Hyper whether believe me are not. I did try. Yes I admit I shouldn't have tried the cheapest way out on the shipping. However The fact remains they where shipped. Guess this is just a horrible lesson in you get what you pay for.

But not to try and start any further arguments or blow any smoke, Back in November (I believe) I did file for a patent through the USPTO. I had to pay several fees including a fee to gain a small entity status due to the fact I Co-own and operate a business. I ended up with a folder full of paper work and receipts before it was over.
