I was thinking of replacing the stock fuel tank that is mounted in my bed by a PO with this. It shows to be a 11gal tank. Mine has a V8 with exhaust running down both sides but they do dump before the rearend.

If no one bids on it(Stealbay) then it will be $109.00 + $30.00 shipping

I looked at some MOON tanks and almost had a heart attack on them

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

We had an aluminum tank in the bed of one of our dirt drag trucks, we eventually ditched it due to condensation watering down the gas. It looked cool though.

I wanted to take my truck on a lot of road trips where there may not be gas for quite a few miles, so I was thinking of using one of those tanks as a secondary tank . . . that might be pretty sweet . . . But the mooneyes make me cringe, so cool, yet that is the price of 2 of my beds + my seat + my new doors haha. . .

Years ago I installed a lot of auxiliary gas tanks gas tanks in trucks. 105 gal, 45 gal some steal some aluminuim. I never had a problem with anyone. Maybe they used the fuel too quickly for this to be a problem. Would not a fuel cell have the same problem when mounted in the bed?

Most of the fuel cells I see now are plastic, except for the roundy round cars, Maybe they don't sweat as much. I do know that we went from having watery fuel probs with the aluminum tank to none with the plastic one. It may be that the specific gravity of the fuel additives we ran caused the condensation. Pump gas (that we were supposed to use) may not do it.

The circle track cars we run have a metal shell but are still plastic on the inside. We also run methanol maybe thats the difference? Anyway good looking tank. Do they make one with a plastic liner?

I don't think so. Almost all factory tanks are "plastic" some kind of poly stuff. I won it. I will give it a try. I think most of it is because it gets sun shine directly, heats up and will cools at night.

It might fit outside the frame. I wonder if any small trucks have a tank out side of the frame anymore I would think most everything is inside the frame now. I do have room where the spare went for a tank of some kind.

Does anyone carry a spare in the stock location? Or just not carru a spare tire.
