Stock LUV frame is WAY stronger, if it is just the 6 lug thing, IMO, it would be better to do one of the 5 lug swaps that are floating around...

i have a completely boxed frame front engine x member is notched and plated its got a narrowed rear clip fuel cell mounts and battery mount all work is done to it to be a full race frame and i was considering swapping my luv body onto it plus get the benefit of the nicer front suspension with a zq8 steering box

OK, that is a little different. I haven't swapped between them, but the track width is narrower on the LUV front and rear, so mods would be needed to get the front wheels tucked in...

You have an s10 rear, but you have offset wheels. You will have to do the same with the front. Not sure if it will work then, as even a skinny front racing wheel sticks out on a LUV front. I have a s10 and a LUV in the garage, the difference is noticeable to me...

I would still think the Stock luv frame is much stronger than the S10.... even fulley boxed.

You have to remember that in japan, these trucks were required to fill a 3/4 tons trucks job.

Newbee here, I have a 1975 Chevy Luv shell, was thinking of puting it on a later model 4X4 S-10 with a six cyl. Have you received any new info regarding your post?
